Attempted murder suspect deemed ‘incompetent to proceed’

Teton Quiver moved to an improved living facility after a psychiatric evaluation.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - A man accused of aggravated assault and attempted murder had his appearance in court Monday.

Teton Quiver, 37, was present in custody this morning for an arraignment hearing.

Judge Robert Gusinsky presided over today’s hearing and said the doctor who conducted the psychiatric evaluation on Quiver decided he was, “Incompetent to proceed.”

The court ruled to move Quiver to an improved living facility to help with his competency while the rest of his case plays out. His next hearing will be August 27.
