Governor Kristi Noem says Trumps focus is on American people
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Governor Kristi Noem sat down with CNN to talk about her visit to Wisconsin this past weekend where she was actively campaigning for Donald Trump.
Noem was asked about a variety of topics including the former president and his recent guilty verdict in the New York hush money trial. In a recent statement, Trump said “Revenge takes time” referring to the verdict, and while many would think that’s his focus going into the 2024 campaign, Noem says his focus is on the American people.
“He is not interested in going after political opponents he is interested in going back to the white house and working for the American people and their families bringing down inflation costs and that’s what I’m hearing overwhelmingly here in Wisconsin is that their number one issue right now, is that that sham trial and not the verdict and the convictions and not what’s going on as far as what a lot of people are talking about in the media. They care about what’s happening to their families, how much grocery prices have gone up, how much better their lives were four years ago.” Noem said.
Wisconsin is considered a swing state this upcoming election and Noem says both she and Trump’s focus is helping out people not only in that state but nationwide.
