Stormy today, then dry and warm Tuesday.
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Active weather is likely this afternoon as a trough moves in from the west. Scattered thunderstorms will form in Wyoming and move east. A few severe storms are possible with large hail and damaging winds. Because of the high moisture content of the atmosphere, locally heavy rainfall will occur with some of the storms. The best chance of severe weather in western South Dakota will be after 2pm.
Dry and warm weather returns Tuesday and lasts through Thursday as a ridge of high pressure aloft moves over the northern plains. Wednesday will be the warmest day this week when many spots will flirt with that 90 degree mark.
Stormy weather returns Friday and Saturday.
