RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Managing the grief of losing a loved one or someone close to you can be a near-impossible task without help.

One group in Rapid City is about to begin an amazing journey to show anyone suffering that they are not alone.

The group is called SRVIVRS and was started by Josh and Stacy Nehring to honor the tragic loss of their daughter Lilli in 2017.

As part of the healing process for themselves and anyone experiencing grief, Josh decided he wanted to do a big run to ‘move in memory’ of those lost. The run will start in Rapid City at Mount Cavalry Cemetery where Lilli was laid to rest and continue to the capitol in Pierre. From there the run will visit 48 of the United States, running through the capital of every one he visits.

“So we’re trying to have a national awareness campaign and that’s the purpose of going on this run we’re going to all 48 states and trying to let people know of this message cause there’s a lot of people that don’t know a way forward with grief,” Josh Nehring said.

Those interested in joining Josh for a leg of the journey are more than welcome to, Josh has set up a live tracker that will show his active location on the journey. You can check the progress of that trip here.
