ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – With two massive cicada broods surfacing this summer, many people are doing their best to avoid the insects.

However, not everyone is trying to keep their distance. In fact, some are hoping to get enough of the insects to make a meal.

KMOV took a trip to the Butterfly House in Chesterfield to learn some ways to turn the loud bugs into a delicious delicacy.

The Butterfly House showed those who were curious how to make cicada scampi.
