Pet of the Week: Meet Ivory

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Every week we spotlight a different animal at the Humane Society of the Black Hills that’s up for adoption and this week it’s a very sweet dog named Ivory.

Ivory is a nearly one-year-old shepherd mix with a heart of gold. She’s very shy at first, but once she warms up to you she is one of the most affectionate dogs out there.

She’s convinced she’s a lap dog and will be happy to spend most nights curled up next to you. Also, she’s very curious about the outside world and loves taking trips regardless of the destination.

Adopting Ivory does come with a little extra work as she’s only partially house-trained, but she is spayed. With a little love and patience, Ivory can make a perfect loyal companion.

Those looking to adopt Ivory or any pets at the Humane Society of the Black Hills can find them on East Saint Patrick Street open every weekday but Wednesday.
