RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Dancers from the Prima School of Dance are deep in rehearsals, perfecting their routines for upcoming performances.

Hundreds of dancers are preparing to take the stage at The Monument Fine Arts Theatre this weekend, celebrating the school being a part of the Rapid City community for 60 years.

On Saturday, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., “Frozen” will showcase Prima’s ballet students. Later that day, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., “Prima Past & Present” will spotlight various dance styles beyond ballet.

Christy Remington, the owner of Prima School of Dance, says she is excited about her students’ first dress rehearsal in the theater on Thursday.

“These rehearsals this evening will bring all the pieces together, so the costumes and the lighting and all of the props and the set change, and we’re really excited to experience them tonight,” said Remington.
