RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Situated where Dickey’s BBQ used to be located, Albertano’s opened up last summer and prides itself on serving authentic Mexican cuisine, it lives on 1565 Haines Ave Suite E, Rapid City, SD 57701.

The food they serve may seem a little different than what you’re used to but that’s just the employees’ commitment to make the food taste more like the region it comes from. Another aspect is making all the food fresh daily.

“Everybody is saying everything is good and fresh. Something they tasted is fresh because when you go to some different restaurants you taste like the day before or whatever, the taste is different,” Guadalupe Santana the Manager of Albertano’s said.

That commitment to making everything fresh means the workers at Albertano’s are getting up before 6 a.m. every morning to prep food for the rest of the day. Santana says they do this because you really can taste the difference if they don’t.

“It’s not good you know it’s not good, I like the people to come in and say it’s really good food. That’s why I make it every day, everything,” Santana said.

Another unique aspect of Albertano’s is that they have drive-thru service, a service not always provided at sit-down restaurants. Santana says this is great for the morning rush when people just want to grab a quick bite and get to work without the hassle of sitting down at a table.

With a variety of options to eat from quesadillas to burritos to soups and salads, it can be hard to find just the right pick.

“Everything is really good you know for me the tacos is the best tacos and I don’t know but people are saying these are the best tacos,” Santana said.

This Cinco De Mayo there are a few options in town to choose from, but Santana just asks that you keep Albertano’s in mind when making your decision.
