Overnight/Morning Showers, Then A Sunny Weekend Ahead
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Overnight, clouds clear before midnight, but they reenter the forecast by the early morning with rain showers likely by the time we wake up to end the work week. Temperatures will drop near to below freezing tonight. The next 4 days are going to be nice for hiking over the weekend with temperatures rising and the sun coming back out to dry us out for the entire weekend. By Monday, the trails will be muddy again with rain showers back in the forecast. 60s are likely Saturday, 70s on Sunday, and 60s again on Monday. Futurecast shows that overnight we are going to see a round of moisture move through bringing snow and rain to the area. No accumulations are expected overnight. Tomorrow, we will slowly but slowly clear out by the afternoon and evening. Sunshine returns for the entire day on Saturday with that sunshine lasting through the day on Sunday. Overnight tonight, we are going to see temperatures make it into the 20s and 30s with increasing cloud coverage and by the time we wake up, some rain and snow showers are likely. Tomorrow, we deal with the morning rain and after that begins to move out, clouds follow with clearing later in the day. Temperatures are going to be the coolest tomorrow that we have seen all week with 40s and 50s likely. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills show the sunshine dominating for the weekend and temperatures rise because of it. The next 7 days in Rapid City, we are going to see temperatures get into the 70s on Sunday but for a majority of the next week we return to the 50s with isolated rain showers possible Tuesday through Thursday. Windy conditions likely Sunday, replaced with breezy conditions much of next week.
