Chances For Showers Stick Around The Entire Work Week, But Some Sunshine Likely
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Overnight we will see increasing cloud coverage across the area and by the time we get to the early morning, another wave of moisture begins to work its way into the area with a morning drizzle likely. Tomorrow, a few of those light showers might stick around until lunchtime but then we will see partly cloudy skies take over for the afternoon and evening. Futurecast shows that we are seeing that wave of moisture move through by the early morning hours with the showers clearing out by the afternoon. A few isolated showers might might an appearance on Wednesday but Thursday we will start to see more coverage from those showers. Overnight tonight we are going to be seeing an increase in cloud coverage becoming mostly cloudy by around 4 am. Early morning showers look likely as we are waking up with temperatures staying on the mild side with many of us seeing the 40s for lows. A few spots may make it into the 30s. Tomorrow, those morning showers might last into the early afternoon with temperatures getting into the 60s by the afternoon for some, 50s for most. Partly cloudy skies take over after those showers clear out of the area. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows that we are going to see temperatures drop by the middle of the week introducing our next system for Thursday. Rain and possibly a few snowflakes are likely everywhere during the day on Thursday. Rapid City sees showers on Thursday with cooler air sticking around through the end of the week. 70s finally return to the 70s for Sunday, Cinco De Mayo, and into next week.
