Showery and cool into the weekend.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Clouds will be persistent today and showers will be possible at times, mainly this afternoon. The steadiest rains will be east of Rapid City. Breezy conditions are expected with gusts up to 40 mph or a little higher. It will be cooler as high temperatures reach the 50s for many. A few 60s are possible in Wyoming.

The weekend will be generally overcast with showers possible at times. Temperatures will be cooler, too. Highs are expected to only reach the 40s for much of the area and a few spots may come close to 50°. Overall, rainfall amounts will be less than previously thought, with the higher totals in south-central South Dakota.

Warmer air returns next week with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the 60s. A few showers are possible Tuesday with breezy conditions.
