RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -

Partly cloudy skies are going to set in for the overnight hours and temperatures will remain mild with temperatures in the 40s in town. We will also become breezy through the night as winds will start to be a little breezy. Tomorrow is Earth Day and we will remain breezy, but another sunny day is on tap for much of the area. Rapid City will see temperatures in the 60s by the afternoon and evening. Futurecast is showing the possibility of showers tonight, but I don’t think that they are going to materialize. We are going to see lots of sunshine across the area over the course of the next two days. Overnight tonight, temperatures drop into the 40s and 30s across the region. The 30s will likely be in the Hills and NE Wyoming. Partly cloudy skies are going to be in the sky tonight with breezy conditions returning for the night. Tomorrow, temperatures make it back into the 50s and 60s with lots of sunshine to go around. The breezy conditions from tonight stick around for tomorrow with winds up to 25 mph throughout the day. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows that temperatures warm into the 70s in Sheridan, Gillette, and Spearfish by Wednesday. Sunshine dominates the next three days not only there, but also here in Rapid City. We are going to see temperatures reach the 70s in Rapid by the time we get to Thursday. Rain showers and even thunderstorms are likely by Thursday and Friday. Those turn to all rain showers by the weekend.
