GRAPHIC: Woman accused of attacking school bus driver who was dropping off kids
MESA, Ariz. (AZFamily/Gray News) - Police released edited surveillance video of an attack earlier this week on a school bus driver by a mother in Mesa, Arizona.
The video shows the unidentified driver stopping near McKellips Road and Country Club Drive where multiple students got off the bus.
As a few remaining students got off the bus, a woman police identified as 27-year-old Hermenegilda Marquez was heard saying, “Are you talking s*** about my daughter?”
The driver doesn’t appear to have heard her the first time, so Marquez repeated what she said as she got on the bus.
The bus driver then said, “No! Get off my bus.”

Documents state the bus driver claimed she didn’t know Marquez or her daughter, and reportedly told the mother that she didn’t say anything to anyone.
The driver repeatedly told Marquez she needed to get off the bus, but Marquez was still heard yelling profanities at her.
Moments later, another irate parent boarded the bus and said, “This is not the bus stop where you’re supposed to be dropping off the kids.”
A third parent then joined in the confrontation while complaining about the bus driver.
“This is not the first time we have complained about you,” the second parent said.
“OK. Get off my bus,” the driver replied.
Moments later, the woman, who police said was Marquez, returned and asked, “So, you’re talking s*** about my daughter?”
Police said Marquez then began swinging at the bus driver, who can be heard screaming. The woman also appeared to have pulled the bus driver’s hair.
Moments later, a man, who police said was Marquez’s boyfriend, grabbed her and pulled her away from the bus.
The driver then called for help on the radio before she started screaming again. Police said it was at that time the driver’s pacemaker started to shock her.
Marquez was arrested on Wednesday. She allegedly showed “no emotion” after being shown security camera video of the attack and was told that she would face a felony charge.
Police said Marquez was already on unsupervised probation for a domestic violence assault conviction.
