Man arrested after allegedly hiding fentanyl in Easter eggs

TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (WAFF/Gray News) - A man was arrested after allegedly hiding fentanyl pills inside plastic Easter eggs in Alabama.

During a traffic stop Monday morning, drug agents received consent to search the vehicle after the passenger, Jamarious Dequan Qualls, 29, was found to have misdemeanor arrest warrants, according to authorities.

During the search, two plastic Easter eggs with 176 fentanyl pills and a plastic bag containing 1 ounce of synthetic cannabis were found.

Qualls was charged with drug trafficking and unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
