Warmer Tomorrow But Big Changes In Store For Easter Weekend
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Starting off in Downtown Rapid City we are seeing some sun with some clouds mixing into the sky. Temperatures are above freezing right now and are varying across the region. The South Dakota Plains are seeing the coldest temperatures, that’s because of their heavy snowpack that has yet to melt, keeping them cooler than most. Most areas are in the 40s and 30s. Overnight, those temperatures dip below freezing for everyone with temperatures likely in the 20s. Mostly clear skies are taking over but we won’t be as cold as we have seen the past couple of nights. Those temperatures drastically warm up tomorrow where Rapid City will see temperatures reach the low 60s by the afternoon with mostly sunny skies lasting almost the entire day. Easter weekend is fast approaching and the outlook is not looking too good. Egg-stra rough conditions are looking likely for Easter Sunday with rain and snow. Easter weekend as a whole isn’t looking the best. Good Friday is the best bet to get out and enjoy some sunshine. Futurecast is showing a few round of clouds before our next system starts to enter the region by Friday night and Saturday morning. Overnight tonight, we will see temperatures start to drop, but not as cold as we have seen the past few nights. the SD Plains will see temperatures on the colder side with teens . The snow pack will keep them cool through tonight and tomorrow. High temperatures stay in the 40s on the Plains but get into the 50s and even 60s everywhere else. Mostly sunny skies settle in for most of the day across the area. NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills sees that weekend storm system start to move in on Saturday with dropping temperatures. Rapid City also seeing that system Saturday through Monday with colder temperatures.
