Lingering Snow Showers Through Tomorrow, Sunny Midweek

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -

Overnight, temperatures make it into the teens in Rapid City. 13 degrees with lingering snow showers around. We will see breezy conditions start to take over with winds up to 20 mph possible. During the day tomorrow, we might see some morning snow showers before we become cloudy for the rest of the day. Winds will continue to be breezy with gusts up to 40. We still have winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories up until Monday evening at 6 PM with additional snowfall and blowing snow the concern. Futurecast is showing those snow shwoers moving completely out of here by tomorrow afternoon but we remain cloudy. Tuesday the sun starts to come out and we will be mostly sunny for much of the day. Wednesday, mostly sunny skies continue. Overnight tonight, temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits and teens with cold temperatures and lingering snow showers. Tomorrow, temperatures remain cold with the snowpack still on the ground. 20s and teens are anticipated for high temperatures during the afternoon tomorrow. A few snow showers in the morning will give way to cloudy skies by the afternoon and winds will be breezy. The next three days over NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows that temperatures begin their warm up by the time we get into the middle of the week with prominent sunshine both Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures make it back into the 50s in Rapid City by the time we get to Thursday and Friday with our next system starting its approach by the time we get to next weekend where rain and snow are a possibility.
