Mixology at Home - Pot of Gold
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - No matter your heritage, here are special days that Americans just love to celebrate, like Saint Patrick’s Day.
To help celebrate we made a special trip to Sally O’Malley’s Pub in Rapid Valley to record this week’s Mixology at Home with bartender Kelly Everett.
“It’s called Pot of Gold and we will be serving it for Saint Patty’s Day,” Everett said.
“I’m going to rim the glass with gold sugar. We are going to do about an ounce of vodka. Any kind you prefer. Then any kind of rum, an ounce also. Then an ounce of Blue Curacao. Then we got some lemonade and then we are going to top it off with pineapple juice,” Everett explained.
You can serve it in a martini or rocks glass, adding a hard sugar candy stick as garnish.
The drink isn’t the only added feature this weekend at Sally O’Malley’s.
“We’re having a pre-party for Saint Patty’s Day on the 16th and then we’ll have karaoke, shot specials, food specials, Irish nachos. And we’ll have a party on the actual Saint Patty’s Day also,” Everett said.
Irish nachos?
“Corned beef on our french fries with nacho cheese,” Everett said.
