‘Roseanne’ house back on the market
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE/Gray News) - A house in Indiana, famously known as the “Roseanne house,” is back on the market.
The house, used in both “Roseanne” and “The Connors,” is near the University of Evansville on Runnymeade Avenue and is listed for $225,000.
The exterior of the two-story home was shown in the opening scenes of “Roseanne” during the show’s nine-season run.
In 2004, the home was placed on auction, with the granddaughter of the original owners present. Since then the home has changed multiple hands. And in 2015, Roseanne Barr said she would buy the home when the house was not for sale.
Listing Agent Dorren Hallenberger said people have been reaching out about the famous home.
“People wanna know what the inside looks like now since they watched the television show,” said Hallenberger. “People looked at all the interior pictures online so people just to know what’s going on in Evansville, and you know its important to the community.”
“Roseanne” was created by Matt Williams, an Evansville native, and uses other shots of the town, such as the Third and Delaware street sign, St. Boniface Church, and The Lobo Lounge at Edgar and Louisiana Street.
