Flurries Possible Tomorrow Then Warming Up This Weekend
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Flurries will stick possibly around for the overnight hours as the chance for them really starts to increase after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy skies will be dominant. Temperatures tonight drop into the low 20s in Rapid City. Flurry chances continue into the day tomorrow with temperatures staying in the mid 30s for much of the day. Futurecast shows snow showers starting to form after midnight tonight and they are going to be sticking around throughout the day tomorrow. Good news is that by tomorrow evening that moisture starts to move out of the area and the sunshine starts to return. Mostly sunny skies settle in for the day on Friday before we become completely sunny for the start of the weekend Saturday morning. Overnight tonight, temperatures manage to make it into the teens and 20s across the area as snow showers and flurries start to develop after midnight. Those flurries will continue throughout the day tomorrow as temperatures stay in the 20s and 30s for high temperatures. If you aren’t seeing any snow, cloudy skies will be likely. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows those chances for snow disappears as we head into Friday and warmer temperatures are on tap for Saturday. The warm up doesn’t stop there with temperatures in the 50s for the weekend and even the 60s by early next week. Make sure to set your clocks forward one hour Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time starts. We lose an hour of sleep. Temperatures above normal and lots of sunshine are on tap for the entirety of next week.
