Increasing Clouds Throughout the Day Tuesday
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
A few snow showers are possible throughout the overnight hours, but clouds and moisture will be clearing out of the area. Tomorrow, clouds come right back into the picture with temperatures sitting in the 40s by the afternoon. Futurecast is showing that we are seeing that bit of moisture move through into the overnight hours. That clears out but clouds return before sunset tomorrow and really increase into the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday. Wednesday, partly cloudy skies will dominate the day. We are going to see the possibility of some snow showers during the morning on Wednesday and spreading into the afternoon in the Black Hills. Thursday, clouds stick around. Sunset times over the next couple of months are increasing. Sunday starts Daylight Savings time and we spring forward. Sunset times will increase to the 6 o’clock hour by Sunday. Mid-March, the 7 o’clock sunsets will settle in and by May 4th, we will see our first 8PM sunset of the year. Tonight, temperatures drop into the teens and 20s across the Black Hills region as a few isolated snow showers clear out of the area by midnight. After those snow showers clear, clearing skies by morning will allow for some peaks of sun before clouds increase into the afternoon on Tuesday. Temperatures get into the 40s and low 50s. An overall nice day for Tuesday. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Black Hills show the chances for some snow flurries again on Thursday with temperatures dropping into the low 40s and upper 30s. Rapid City will see temperatures start to warm up as we head into the weekend with temperatures in the 50s Saturday and Sunday. 60s enter the forecast by the beginning of next week.
