WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - With the November election less than nine months away, President Biden honing his message to allies. He’s and also addressing the issue of his mental fitness to be the Commander-In-Chief for another four-year term.

For President Biden, reminding allies and critics of his administration’s accomplishments is a necessary component of his re-election strategy. Monday, Biden spoke to leaders from the National Association of Counties, ticking off the local benefits of the bipartisan infrastructure law and other legislative victories.

“The American rescue plan provided $350 billion to state and local governments. That money put cops on the beat. Teachers in the classroom wanted to keep child care centers open. Families in their homes. Small businesses on their feet. Money directly to every single community in America. So all of you, all of you could decide how best to spend your money without having to go through the statehouse or your governor”

Just days after the Special Counsel Robert Hur described the President in his report on Biden’s mishandling of classified documents as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”, President Biden clapped back at that narrative.

“I’ve been around, I know I don’t look like I’ve been around awhile. I do remember that.”

The President also increased his criticism of what he calls MAGA Republicans, blaming them for killing a bipartisan border deal last week. The President said that going forward both parties need to end the political games and work for the American people. Later on Monday, President Joe Biden hosted King Abdullah of Jordan for talks at the White HOuse.
