Family of 4 reported missing during move from New Orleans to Houston

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE/Gray News) - Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a family of four reported missing after moving to Houston.

The New Orleans Police Department is searching for 31-year-old Ruiz Cristano, his wife, 26-year-old Steys Yanira David-Fuenz, and their two children, 5-year-old Jazzlyn Esther Ruiz David and 2-year-old Dara Ismeray Ruiz David.

The family was reported missing after they moved from New Orleans to Houston on Nov. 30, 2023.

The person who reported their disappearance said he received a text saying the family had arrived at their destination, but other relatives in Texas reported the opposite.

Several attempts to contact the family again by that person were unsuccessful, raising concerns.

Police said that anyone with information about the missing family is asked to call Sixth District detectives at 504-658-6060.
