RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Temperatures have fallen below zero and stay there through the entire weekend. Highs will be in the single digits to teens below zero, with low temperatures in the -20s for many. Winds will gust up to 40 mph on Saturday, which will cause wind chill values to drop into the -30s to -50s.

A Wind Chill Warning is in effect through midday Monday. Frostbite could occur in as little as 5 minutes in these conditions.

Monday will likely remain below zero with temperatures, but Tuesday looks to be the first day we climb above zero. It is very possible that we come close to 100 consecutive hours with temperatures below zero.

We will have highs in the teens and 20s for much of next week with a few snow showers possible Wednesday and Thursday. The good news is that we are favored to have above normal temperatures return for the final week and a half of January!
